With just three days remaining until the regatta, the teams are enjoying a well-deserved break from sailing. During the weekend, they have free days to relax, explore, and take part in various activities.
One of today’s highlights was a visit to the Pro Natura Centre Champ-Pittet.
Located in the heart of the Grande Cariçaie, the largest wetland area in Switzerland, the Pro Natura Centre near Yverdon-les-Bains offers exceptional access to this unique natural treasure on the southern shores of Lake Neuchâtel.
More than 800 plant species and 10,000 animal species can be found in the Grande Cariçaie, making it Switzerland’s most extensive lakeside wetland ecosystem.
During the morning, all teams spent time in the heart of the forest, learning about the region’s rich biodiversity, local wildlife, and the importance of protecting these unique natural habitats. The visit provided an excellent opportunity to connect with nature, enjoy the outdoors, and experience one of Switzerland’s most remarkable conservation areas.
