As the winners of the Sustainability Challenge at the Asian Qualifiers in Thailand, SSL Team Myanmar participated in a special sustainability webinar at the end of February.
The session was led by:
Afrodite Zegers-De Kleine – Olympic finalist (4th & 10th). Professional coach and sailor bringing elite technical and strategic insights.
Paul McKenzie – Olympic Finalist (Olympic Top 6). Leading expert in the RC44 class and dedicated coach for SSL teams worldwide.
Workshops focused on “SSL Sails & Shapes” and SSL47 controls. The session concluded with productive discussions and a Q&A segment. The webinar also addressed sustainability in sailing and the role athletes can play in protecting the marine environment.
The initiative aimed to inspire sailors and promote sustainability within the sailing community, showing that success in sport can go hand in hand with responsibility for our oceans.
