With less than two months remaining until the next qualification stage for the SSL Gold Cup Finals in Rio de Janeiro, excitement is building among the participating national teams. The upcoming qualification event will take place in Grandson, Switzerland, where four teams from Africa and Oceania will compete for their place in the next stage of the competition. Among them is Mozambique, which will face Seychelles (SEY), Tahiti (TAH), and Morocco (MAR). Races are starting from the 2nd of June till 6st of June 2026.
Grandson plays an important role in the preparation process for the SSL Gold Cup. The town is home to the SSL Training Center, where many national teams preparing for the game have the opportunity to train ahead of their qualification matches and the final stages of the competition.
SSL Training Center provides teams with conditions to prepare, practice strategies and adapt to the unique format and SSL47 Boat.
Every participating team has the opportunity to schedule training sessions at Lake Neuchâtel, making Grandson not only a qualification venue but also a key preparation hub for teams aiming to reach the Finals in Rio de Janeiro.
